KANT’IN ÖTESİNDE: HEGEL’İN ÖZNELCİLİK ELEŞTİRİSİNİN SİSTEMATİK ANLAMI

İkinci aşamada, Hegel’in kendinde-şey kavramına yaklaşımı, öznelcilik eleştirisi doğrultusunda ele alınmaktadır.

ABSTRACT

The present article aims to systematically examine Hegel’s critique of Kant’s subjectivism and to clarify his critique of the thing-in-itself within this framework. In addition to the criticism of the methodological limitations of transcendental idealism and the assertion that Kant’s categories are empty or meaningless in themselves, it is argued that the focus of Hegel’s critique is the presupposition of absolute opposition, exemplified by dichotomies such as thought and being, subject and object, and form and content. The crux of the debate pertains to the question of why Hegel, despite acknowledging and affirming the originality of transcendental idealism, nevertheless characterizes Kant as a subjectivist. In the subsequent stage, Hegel’s approach to the concept of the thing-in-itself is analysed in the context of the critique of subjectivism. In this regard, the discussion centres on the manner in which Hegel’s objection to the notion of the thing-in-itself serves to complete his critique of subjectivism, along with the essential significance of this objection. It is argued that, while the thing-initself is an inevitable consequence of Kant’s subjectivist thought, Hegel’s position does not represent a return to naïve realism. Instead, it is proposed that Hegel’s approach suggests that the thing-in-itself is not a concept of an actually a conceivable or logically possible object. In this manner, Hegel’s critique is presented as a radical critical position that takes the underlying assumptions of the Kantian system to their logical conclusions.
