ÖZET
Gündelik yaşam dışarıya ve ötekine gösterilen bir persona maskelemesi ile özdeşleşmektedir. İnsanın gizleyecek neyi vardır? Bu metinde insanın gizlenme gereksinimi, kendisini başkasına gösterirken bir örtünün altından, bir maske ya da kozmetiğin ardına gizlenmesinden bahsedilecektir. Michel Leiris’in maskeleme, toro ve torero görüşleri bağlamında ilerleyecek olan düzlemde; insanın ötekiyle olan iletişiminin esasen bir monolog olduğundan söz edilecektir. Ardından kendi olanın çıplaklığının başkalarının bakışlarıyla olan donakalma ilişkisi incelenecektir. Bu konunun ele alınmasındaki temel amaç insanın gündelik yaşamda kendisini genel olandan ayrıştıran yönlerini izler göz karşısında gizleme gerekliliği ve bu durum dahilinde yaşadığı tekinsiz karşılaşmalardır. Maskenin sürdürülebilirliği ve parçalanmaya açık gerilimi tartışılmaya çalışılmaktadır. İnsan, kendi maskesinin altında gerçekten bir canavar mıdır? Kendine bile bakacak cesareti yok mudur? Başkası ya da öteki kendi canavarını açığa çıkarırsa, maskeden arınmak düşüncesi bizi de avlayabilir mi?

ABSTRACT
Everyday life is identified with the masking of a persona shown to the outside and the other. What does human have to hide? In this text, we will talk about the need for hiding under a veil while showing yourself to someone else, such as being behind a mask or cosmetics. In this context that will be processed in the plane of masking, toro and torero views of Michel Leiris; it will be mentioned that man's communication with the other is essentially a monologue. Then the relationship between the nudity of its own and the freezing relationship with the gaze of others will be examined. The main belief in dealing with this issue is the necessity of hiding in front of the eye, which follows the aspects of the person that distinguishes him from the general in daily life, and the uncanny encounters he has experienced within this situation. The sustainability of the mask and its tension open to fragmentation are tried to be discussed. Is man a monster under his mask? Doesn't she/he have the courage to even take care of herself? If someone else or the other reveals their beast, can the thought of being unmasked hunt us too?
