ÖZET
Bu çalışma çerçevesinde, Queer teorinin ortaya çıkmasında önemli figürlerden birisi olan Judith Butler’ın düşüncesi temelinde, onun cinsiyet kavrayışı, normatif heteronormativiteye bakışı ve onun fikirlerinin Queer kuram açısından neden önemli olduğu sorgulanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, Butler’ın konuyla ilgili temel fikirlerin odaklanılmadan evvel queer kuramın merkezinde bulunan cinsiyet/toplumsal cinsiyet ayrımı üzerine yoğunlaşılmıştır. Bir sonraki bölümde Butler’ın fikirlerini temellendirmesinde etkin entelektüel köklerden biri olan Foucault’nun anlayışı ve Butler’ın yöntemi olarak post yapısalcılık bu bağlamda ele alınmıştır. Yine bu bağlamda “Queer”’ın anlamı ve “Queer Teori” ilgili literatür zemininde incelenmiştir. Son olarak, Judith Butler’ın teorisi özelinde, Queer teoriye katkıları üzerine odaklanılmıştır.

ABSTRACT
In this framework of this study, It was questioned that on the basis of the thought of Judith Butler, one of the important figures in the emergence of Queer theory, her sex/gender understanding, normative heteronormativity view and Butler’s ideas what are important with regard to Queer theory. Accordingly, before it was focused on basic ideas about the subject,it was concentrated on the distinction of sex/gender which is located in the center of Queer theory. In the next section, it is considered Foucault’s understanding, one of the effective intellectual roots in terms of founding Butler’s opinions and post structuralism as a method of Butler in this context. Again in this context, it was reviewd the meaning of “Queer” and “Queer Theory” on the basis of the relevant literature. Ultimately, it was focused in the case of Judith Butler's theory, her contributions to Queer theory.
